The Fletcher Audio turntables and tonearm are designed by the legendary Tom Fletcher and are still made by hand in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark.
The tonearm is made almost without the use of bearings that can affect playback. The materials are based on the desire to eliminate mechanical energy and resonances. If you look at many other tonearms in the price range, they will have a lot of “bells and whistles” and bearings that are tightened up around the structure.
The late great Tom Fletcher is the mastermind behind Fletcher Audio.
Tom Fletcher’s journey began at 16, when a night of New Orleans jazz inspired him to build the perfect vinyl reproduction, something he couldn’t find elsewhere.
His career took off in 1973 with the founding of Nottingham Analogue. Driven by a passion for both music and engineering, he developed iconic turntable models such as the Space Deck and Hyperspace, which quickly gained cult status among audiophiles.
Before his passing, he established Fletcher Audio, where his vision lives on through the Omega Point series – turntables that are still meticulously handcrafted in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
